My name is Kenneth Hein and I am having déjà vu all over
again. Having written about online marketing from the ground up for a magazine
that no longer exists (It burst along with the dot-com bubble), I am feeling
something awfully familiar about the mobile marketing space. There is so much
energy and excitement and even more hype. Companies/vendors are entering the space
fast and furiously, claiming to be the greatest thing since the 30-second TV
spot. It is fun, frenetic and it is also confusing. So much is happening that
the pages of Brandweek could never
contain it all. That’s why we’ve launched Snackable Content. This blog aims to
make sense of the mobile marketing industry in real time. As the Senior Editor
of Brandweek, with six years under my
belt, I will take it all in and serve it up to you in bite-sized bits of mobile
marketing news. Of course I’m counting on you to tell me when I’m right, wrong
or what I should be covering or avoiding. E-mail me any time at khein@brandweek.com. For a primer on the mobile marketing category thus far check out this article "Dial 'M' for Marketing." Thanks for reading.
Virgin Mobile added the Dogfather, Snoop Dogg, to its exclusive First Dibs ringtone progam. How about Vanilla Ice?

I'm sure they're all over Vanilla Ice as well as K-Fed.

“Dial M” is a very insightful piece and will be helpful analysis for our firm as we look to break in new technologies. Keep it up!
