“Cell phone users are more willing than ever to receive advertising,” claimed Harris Interactive exec Judith Ricker. Her statement came after 35% of adults said they were willing to accept incentive-based advertisements in a Harris Poll of 903 adults last month. Of these, 78% said cash was the best incentive of all (shocking). Free minutes were the second most popular option according to 63% of respondents. More than half (56%) of those who expressed at least some interest in receiving ads on their cell phones would like them to be in text form and 40% prefer picture messages.
