Some company named Mobiboo just hit me with an e-mail with a Valentine’s day offer. For just £39.95 (or roughly $13,000 dollars American with today’s exchange rates) I can get unlimited calling in Britain. This VoIP provider got me thinking (which is never a good thing). Firstly, do people actually give VoIP services to their significant others these days in lieu of chocolate and flowers? And, is every company in the mobile space going to try and include the name Mobi in their monikers? Feels like the eBusiness, iMarketingDays of yesteryear. Finally, I wonder how Moby feels about everyone swiping his name? Moby if you’re reading, please let me know.
